Go Into All the World

“Staying with it—that’s what God requires. Stay with it to the end. You won’t be sorry, and you’ll be saved. All during this time, the good news—the Message of the kingdom—will be preached all over the world, a witness staked out in every country. And then the end will come.”   (Matthew 24:  13-14, The Message)

Part of our responsibility as a Christian is to preach or share the gospel throughout the world.  You may never stand behind a pulpit or pack your bags and fly to Africa.  However, you can make a difference in “your” world.  Your world may consist of home, school and church.  You may never go on a faraway journey.  But, are you impacting those you are in contact with?  Do they know about this Jesus living within you?  If not, why travel halfway around the world when there are those in our towns, our next door neighbors, who don’t know about the love of God.  If we don’t tell them, who will?

Click on the “sitemeter” located on the right-hand side of this page at the bottom of the column.  Do you see it—the little green/white box?  This tool helps to maintain data on the number of people that are visiting our site on a daily basis.  It also provides other information.  A couple of things I like to look at are the “World Map” and the  “By Location” links.  This lets us know “where in the world” we are making contact with others.  The sitemeter was not placed on here when we first began our site.  But, since it has been on, here are some of the stats:  Eight countries have been reached — Mexico, Philippines, Greece, Australia, Malaysia, Portugal, Brazil, and the United Kingdom; 18 states have been reached including California, Oregon, New York, Maryland and Florida.

We’re spanning the globe, and that’s exciting!  But, more exciting than that is the possibility of God reaching the hearts.  Is what’s being read making a difference in a life?  Whether you are the author of a blog post, or someone just reading the blog, we all have a mandate from God.  Take the information and share it with someone else.  “Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel”.
